Kounopetra (15 min)
Not a beach, but a strange little natural spot.
The name means „moving rock.” There’s a legend the rock used to shift back and forth with the sea. Now it doesn’t move (or not much), but the view and vibe are still worth the drive.
The road there is quiet, and the sea is open and rougher. A nice place to stop if you want to get away from crowds.
What’s nearby: Vatsa beach and a riverside taverna
Good for: A quick stop or a slow walk by the coast
Best time to visit: evening time after 7-8PM for scenic views of Xi beach
