If you want the “wow” beach, this is it. Big cliffs, deep blue water, and an unreal view as you drive down. Water here is clearer and colder—perfect after a hot day. There are tavernas right on the beach with proper food and cold beers.
It gets deep quickly, so not ideal for small kids, but for swimming and watching sunsets, it’s perfect.
Best time: Afternoon (but arrive before 11 AM for easy parking)
Tip: The view from the road before the beach is great for a photo stop
Bring: Snorkel if you like exploring rock edges
Tips:
1. Sun beds:
– go early morning 10-11
– bring your own umbrella and beach-chair or towel as a backup plan
2. Food:
– Erasmia’s tavern: try seafood
– Same for coffee & refreshments
3. Parking:
– Go early morning
– Avoid at any cost to go close to the beach if there’s a lot of traffic going down the road (meaning park uphill)
4. Sunset:
– stay till you see it it worths the try
5. Waves:
– always advise the weather forecast
– waves can be dangerous as there’s are big rocks at the beachfront
Hope this helps
